Over the past few days, some users have reported a fixed informix debug file.
Use SET DEBUG FILE to name to specify the file that will store the small result of running the subroutine SPL.name=”155979″>
This directive specifies that the output of the In trace directive of each SPL routine is directed to a file, usually specified by the filename. Each time the exact TRACE statement is executed >, tracer data is added to this final result file.
Using the WITH APPEND option
The output file you select in the DEBUG set TO folder statement can be a new existing document or file.
If you specify an existing file, the current elements of the file will be deleted beforeHow do you execute the SET DEBUG TO file statement. First, it is a function, the TRACE command, which sends trace results to the beginning of a particular file.
However, if you add the WITH APPEND option, the current contents of some files will be preserved if you take care of the DEBUG set FILE to clause. The first execution of a good TRACE command adds traces, output that can complete the file.
When accepting a new file in a particular SET DEBUG TO FILE statement, it doesn’t matter if you specify a particular APPEND with option. The first addition of the < kbd >TRACE command sends the known output to the beginning of the new file, whether you omit or pass the WITH APPEND parameter.
Close file output
To close this open file with the SET DEBUG FILE TO statement, run another SET debug from FILE with to a different filename. You can then edit the first file’s stuff.
output Redirect trace
You can usethe SET DEBUG FILE statement leading to in SPL direct for executing a subroutine, I would say logging the output of SPL for actually processing the file. You can also use this statement in a single SPL subroutine that redirects to its usage output.
Output File Location
If you call the SET DEBUG FILE TO statement with a required filename in the local database, the final resulting file is in your current directory. If your database is currently on a remote database server, this output file is located in the base directory on the remote system server. If you specify too full a path to a debug file, my file will be in the lists of files included and you will specify with the database server. If you do not have permission to write to the directory, you will receive an error message.
SET FILE TO debug example
The following output outputs the FILE set debug TO statement to a manually created entry named debug.out:
For a task-oriented discussion of SPL, see Informix Guide to SQL: Tutorial.Face=”arial,helvetica”>Informix.
I am using a SQL stored procedure in an INFORMIX database.
When building debug I’m in
INSTALL LOGGING DEBUG IN
I have to print a debug statement.
For example: the number of lines of the temporary from the print table.
RAISERROR('your throw here!!!',0,1) WITH NOWAIT
But I don’t know how to display the number of tables using this
RAISE ERROR method.
